If I could bottle up one memory to be able to open and remember whenever I wanted, I would have to say the time my family and I went on vacation to Disney World. I choose this memory cause it was the last time my family had a big vacation event, and it brings back good memories just thinking about it.
I was just 8 or 9 years old, but my sister being 4 and a half years older was 12-13 years old. Anyway, I was extremely excited when my parents first told me that we we're going. It was extremely exciting, I think everyone can agree that Disney World is every kid's fantasy. I'm glad I went back then because looking back now I don't think I would've enjoyed it very much if I was the age I am now. We decided to drive there instead of flying to save money. I think it was a big mistake because it was the last time we every drove that far. A 20 hour drive will make you go from 100 to 0 very quick. It felt like an eternity in that car, and the suspense of getting their didn't make it any better. My sister and I shared the back seat while my dad drove the entire way. We only made about a total of 6 stops maybe, once every couple hours to stretch, use the restroom, and of course eat.
When we got there it was even cooler than I thought it would be. We stayed in the Polynesian Hotel, a tiki themed building. There were many other choices of places to stay, but they were way too busy and cluttered. The one we had picked was very relaxing, right on a beach with a nice pool and water slide in the shape of a volcano. Every day we'd wake up and plan what we'd want to do, where to eat, what to see. One of my favorite restaurants was the hibachi grill, and I still to the day love eating at hibachi restaurants. On the vacation I ate filet mignon six out of the seven days I was there. We also frequently visited the water parks and main attractions.
TIME STAMP: 11:56PM
This reminds me when I went to Disney world as a little kid and I was crying because I thought there was going to be a tornado but then I ended up having a great time
